Diye jalte hai.....

Us din ek toota tara deka, laga jaise kisi ka haath dekha, yeh manzar kabhi pehle bhi unhi hota tha, par tab dost mera kahin kareeb hi baitha hota tha, raste ke kinaaron par hamari gaadi hoti, baatein kaeen aur dil mein tamannaein hoti, chuskiya woh garam chai ki kabhi jeeb jalati, toh kabhi bheege kapdo mein barsaat ki khusbu aati, chal padte yuhi hum safar par aise hi, na dar na fikr bas humari baatein aur tej raftaar gaadi hoti, kaash yeh duniya itni badi bhi naa hoti, paas rehkar bhi yu duriya na hoti, kya farq padta ke hum bade hi na hote, usi galiyaare mein golgappe ki dukaan par aaj shaam mil paate, par zindagi badti gayi hum bhagte rahe, itna bhaage ke woh haath kahi chut gaya, kyu yeh toh nahi pata, par kaha hai iska ilm hai mujhe, bas haath badhane ki der hai........

Mil Kar Ukhadenge-Special26

They say you can smell great food by distance, so goes with the movies too. With an ensemble cast and likes of Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpai, Akshay Kumar, Jimmy Shergill and above all great screenplay and music, "Special26" "stands apart the band". Though Rajesh Sharma's role could've been explored. The movie sets the pace right from the first frame "Mil ke Ukhadenge"; "corruption" I mean. From the first heist to the climax, the film holds the attention span with intelligently crafted sequences bringing laughter, romance, thrill alike. While each artist's performance is commendable, the Director, Neeraj Panday, is I think the real hero.....With sky high expectations following "A Wednesday", "Special 26" is yet another unique experiment from the brilliant director.Worth every penny.....Its a simple yet a delectable recipe waiting ready to be served with sizzling hot performances, spicy twist and turns and yeah a "dessert" full of good songs especially "Mujh main tu", "Kaun Mera".....mmmmm that brings me closer to my "Kaju Katlis" and for all those who savor good cinema, go grab your seats and enjoy this delight......

Lokpal for some, LootPal for many

Have been observing the reaction, support, buzz and the oneness of people that got created because of this great movement. Circa 2006, a movie stirred a similar reaction. Result, student came out rallying for what should be called the land of the equals. Where each one was holding a placard stopping the then HRD minister from dividing them, their merit, their intellect on the basis of caste. If I may ask the intellectuals, the torchbearers of the caste system, the supporters of reservation system, what has this bought unto us?

I see a man fighting all on his own with the system today. Someone, who had never left the field without giving a hard fight to the corrupted evils. Someone who was not joined by many even at the start of the LokPal bill campaign. Someone who shook our heart with an empty stomach and an everlasting smile. Someone who never waited for anybody to come forward but took the mission in his hand and moved ahead. And for whom was he doing it by the way? He's probably burnt his skin in the scorching summers all these years than the CM who today questioned of no inclusion of any people from a certain caste. What has caste got to do with a fight which is trying to establish an egalitarian society. What has it got to do with the CM herself who has assets worth crores her name? Whether the LokPal committee consists of people from certain castes or not is not the intention here. These are the proposed suggestions made by Anna, where the accountable has to pay and not get a chance to run away with the public money that they looted all these years.

As for the divide on the name of caste, reservations etc, which is created more by the Politicos than it residing inside the countrymen, it is high time we start looking forward to measure the achievement about such laws. Can some one counter a bullet in a war-field to be shot in his knees and not heart or brain, just because they chose a particular religion/caste. Do any of my fellow countrymen from other caste who joined the defense forces, wanted any concession or subsidy in the harshness of the field training. I don't think so, for they never thought of themselves to be different from anyone else fighting for a cause. They braved the many who dilly dallied in the quest of being the best. It is high time that we as countrymen should also gather and fight this evil of in-equality not from the society but from our inner self first. Injustice is not limited and is not a by-product from any one caste in the society. Everyone in the system is vulnerable to it. And the only way to break it is to bring the social, communal change that brings everybody on the same platform. Where everyone appreciates each others progress not because he comes from an elite society or not that he gets in because of the advantages provided, but because of the mere dedication, hard-work put in by the person who earned his position in the society and in the eyes of those competing with him. I am blessed to know few people who even today, write the religion as Indian in their kid's school admission forms and deny any priviledges, bringing both them and their kids as a main stay of the society. I salute to the spirit of these true Indians, who by all means and measures, have decided to remain grounded and have inculcated humanity above everything else, irrespective of the caste/creed, in their children, who are our future torchbearers.

Accountability-What's that

Okies.....so before I put anybody/anything on the scanning map, let me ask this to myself:

Am I accountable for the loss that happens when I am bathing/brushing my teeth/blah blah blah and water is overused? Yes, I am accountable for that, so started to take bath in a limited quantity of water, close the water-tap in the basin while brushing my teeth, tighten the water-tap left open in a private/public place like washroom, washbasin as and when noticed. But I am not perfect.....

Am I accountable for the danger I pose to a fellow driver, pedestrian, fellow traffic mates of all forms(all living beings)? Yes, I am.So started to drive sensibly, follow traffic rules, I am not on a public road to hone my driving skills but to drive safer, no unnecessary honking and yes more importantly, paying the amount if I break any law on that brown paper sheet. But I am not perfect.....

Am I doing anything to save trees? Not everything, but yes use only required toilet paper, using e-statements(technology does helps us in more ways than one, doesn't it), respect them for what they give back to me. But I am not perfect.....

Am I doing anything to save electricity? Not everything, for I use my laptop incessantly for longer hours, keeping it on a sleep mode-that does make me a culprit big time, but yes I turn off my monitor whenever I am not using the system in my office, double check to ensure that the fan and lights in my room are switched off when I am not using it,don't like to put on the light in my washroom "On" all night, for I know the poor souls(read lizard, cockroaches, ants, etc) wont attack me at night, remove the battery from the torch when it is idle. But I am not perfect.....

Just few of the many things that an individual lives with, and the adage "But, I am not perfect....." isn't a reasoning statement that I want to make to save my ass from the other colossal damages that I might be causing in these areas, but it is to accept that I am not able to control them as of now. Maybe as times fly I might find a way myself to bring them under my control.

Maybe I'll switch to a cycle soon, at least for my morning exercise* (*Conditions are: as and when it starts).

Oh by the way, I don't watch any daily soaps like Big Boss,Rakhi ka Insaaf kinda stuff, so would really appreciate a pat on the back for saving the electricity and my "mind".......

Tu Meri Kaun hain

Hii Folks, Just to clarify that this is not the song from JTYJN.I just stumbled upon these words y'day while on my way back to Pune from Mumbai. So here it goes......

Tere bina koi nazar nahi aata aajkal,
Khuli aakhon se sapne dehkhta hoon,
Takiye ke baju rakhe kanch ke pyale mein
Tu hi nazar aati hai har pal,
Aakhir, tu meri kaun hai

Tu khafa khafa si rehti hai to,
Kyu bechain hota hai ye dil,
Khushiyon ko dhoondhta rehta hoon,
Mera jeena kyu hota hai mushqil,
Aakhir tu meri kaun hai!

Jeena tune mujhe sikhaya phir se,
Meri zindagi ko di ek nai manzil,
Mujhe apna banakar bhi tu,
Nahi kiya apno me shamil,
Aakhir, tu meri kaun hai.

Kyu tujhse,mujhe shikayat nahi hai,
Kyu aitbaar karta hu,
Tujhe,shayad, pyaar nahi lekin,
Dil me ummeed karta hoo
Aakhir, tu meri kaun hai.

Kyu teri aakhon me mujhe,
Aasoon ka aana manjoor nahi,
Kyu us ek hasi ke liye,
Intezaar me zindagi bitana chahta hoon,
Aakhir, Tu Meri Kaun Hai................
